Iyanya has been around since 2009, and has won multiple awards with several hit songs released.
He’s also got fans in African and American States. On the 16th of October, 2013, it was reported by 360nobs that Iyanya signed a $220,000 dollar endorsement deal with Solo Phones Nigeria.
It was a 1-year deal that raked in millions of naira for Iyanya.
From the Solo Phones deal, Iyanya was gifted a brand new Toyota Prado, 2014 model valued at several millions of naira.
In the same year, he signed a 1-year $300,000 dollar endorsement deal with Zinox Computers as reported by Daily Independent Newspaper.
Iyanya also signed a N60 million naira endorsement deal with MTN in 2013.

Iyanya was given birth to on Palm Street, Calabar, Cross River, Nigeria on the 31st of October, 1986, to respectable parents.
Iyanya’s parents weren’t all rich and famous; his Mum was a teacher and headmistress, and his Dad, a forester.
His home was different, unlike the case in most Nigerian homes, Iyanya’s mother was the hard parent, while his Dad was the soft one; an opposite case.
His mother was a disciplined lady who made sure her kids didn’t live waywardly.
His father, was not the harsh type, but was a gentleman, and was calm-spirited.
Unfortunately, he lost both parents in 2008, same year he was motivated to take part in a contest that changed his life for good. His mother was 42 years old, and Dad, 50.
Like it wasn’t enough, he also lost his elder brother around the same period his parents passed away.
At age 5, Iyanya could sing, and was the lead child chorister at his local church.
He acquired primary school, secondary school, and University education in Calabar, and graduated from the department of Business Management, University of Calabar.
Iyanya successfully graduated with a degree from the University of Calabar and picked up a hotel job.
He also managed a local bar at that time, and sang Karaoke there at the the bar.
From bar to bar, Iyanya sang and steadily trained himself vocally, citing R. Kelly and Craig David to be his musical inspirations.
Iyanya sang at the West-Life Bar, the Fiesta Fries Bar, and the Mirage Night Club.
His musical career began with Iyanya being called and known as Lofty, the rapper.
Yeah, he was a rapper before eventually closed the chapter to rapping.

The MTN Project Fame
Project Fame is a prestigious talent hunt show which started back in 2008.
Iyanya took part in its maiden episode in 2008 after being motivated by Kcee, the now famous Nigerian musician.
He boldly took a step, and participated in the Project Fame West Africa.
Iyanya survived, perhaps, as the best contestant. He won the contest, and was well connected at this time.
After the big win, Iyanya became an instant sensation.
He became a star, and got closer to becoming a mega star just after the year of the competition.
Debut Album: “My Story”
Without delay in 2009, Iyanya started working on his debut album he would “My Story”.
He won the big West African contest, and the best thing to sustain the attention and stardom would be to release good songs without rest.
His debut was released by CN Media Imprint, but was a failure.
The album was supposed to be a big hit, but weak promotion and distribution crippled its success.
Although the album had good tracks which emphasized his musical strengths and abilities, especially in R&B music genre.
Second Album: “Desire”
Desire is the second music album of Iyanya after the first in 2009 which wasn’t a huge success.
Desire was released on the 6th of February, 2013 by the Triple MG record label, and the released of the album was worked on by D’Tunes, GospelOnDeBeatz, Tee-Y Mix, and Mr. Chido.
The album had 19 tracks with guest vocals from Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Jude Abaga, Yung L, Emma Nyra, Tekno Miles, May D, Flavour, and D’banj.
Award Winning Single: “Kukere”
Iyanya observed that there was no song to the Calabar dance called “Etighi” after a visit to his hometown.
He decided to release a song for the dance that’s patterned by the people of Calabar. He called up D’Tunes, and produced a song titled “Kukere”.
The song was a huge success, and it won Iyanya awards.
It also topped several musical charts, and was one of the most frequently aired single in Nigeria.
The single achieved success not in Nigeria alone, but in Ghana and the United Kingdom.
On November 25, 2012, Iyanya performed live at AY comedy show organized at INDIGO2 Arena.
In the course of prompting “Desire”, his second musical album, he made the Iyanya VS Desire concert a main attraction for the album promotion in United Kingdom.
On June 9, 2013, Iyanya hosted the concert in London at the INDIGO2 Arena, featuring artistes Emma Nyra, and Tonto Dikeh who also is a Nigerian actress.
On the 14th of June, 2013, he hosted the same concert in Manchester, featuring artistes DRB Lasgidi, and Emma Nyra.
Before the concerts in June, Iyanya and Emma Nyra toured U.S and Canada.
He performed in April at the Canada Shrine, and also in Texas at the African Muzik Magazine launch.
Iyanya also performed at the New York Fashion Week in New York.
Iyanya is currently unmarried, but is living pretty well, and is currently not searching.
He’s working on his career to become a better musician under Temple Music record label.
Iyanya was formerly signed to Made Men Music Group, he left the label to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records where he struggled to become better but got to good results.
At the best of decisions, he went on to sign a music deal with Temple Music.
