Who is the Youngest Billionaire in Nigeria?
With hundred of billionaires in Nigeria, it’s pretty hard to tell the youngest of them all. Nigeria is blessed with several blossoming business persons, and from my point of view, the youngest billionaire is one that’s known for adding value and also, must be a heck of an investor and inventor.
The youngest billionaire in Nigeria official would be Iyinoluwa Abiyeji. He’s a Nigerian entrepreneur born on the 28th of March, 1991. The young billionaire isn’t so popular among the Nigerian celebrities, but he’s one very rich dude.
Iyinoluwa Aboyeji began creating at the age of 19, and his first invention is Bookneto.com, which he founded at the age of 19 years. The company was acquired in 2013 by the Canadian Innovation Centre. Wait, what is Bookneto.com? The platform was meant to share meaningful and relevant information resources between learning communities.
That being sold, he partnered with Bric and Ian Carnevale to found a distance learning platform for African professionals, which was called Fora. The platform enabled students and professionals in various fields to courses that can be studied abroad or on the internet.
In 2014, he cofounded Andela, and Flutterwave in 2016. Flutterwave is perhaps one of his biggest companies. The platform allows African banks and Africans to process monetary transactions across Africa. In 2012, he was named a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, and he made Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30 in past times.
