Eugene Entsir biography

Eugene Entsir, popularly known by stage name; Eugy is a Ghana born musician who moved to London, United Kingdom at age 6. When Eugy was 10 years old, he already learnt to play the piano, and was playing for a Church in London.

Eugy started rapping when he turned 13 years of age. He decided to open up for big artistes including J Holiday and Trey Songz when he was 19. He aims at showing the world how interesting and amazing African music can be, especially in the genre of Hip-Hop and R&B.

Eugy started a music team called E3 Brothers. With the group, he made his first actions in the music industry. The team achieved success at local, national level with trending music covers including "Power Trip" originally delivered by J Cole.

During this time of being with the team, he learnt how to produce music tracks. The team, E3 Brothers delivered a number of tracks and the last one was titled "Provider". In 2015, Eugy separated from the group when he discovered he was good at rapping and could pursue a solo rap music career.

He started out by collaborating with other singers on their own songs. The first song he was featured as a background rapper is titled "Mercy" by Nizzy. Eugene's rap lyrics are unique as he blends the Twi and English language into his rap.

Eugy got the green fame light shining bright on him when he collaborated with one of Nigeria's hottest musicians Davido. The track was a big hit and it was mainly because Davido opened the platform for him to get noticed by collaborating with him.

This doesn't mean Davido is more talented than Eugy, he isn't. The track was produced by Team Salut. Another of Eugy's hit singles include a track he did in collaboration with one of the most popular uprising music stars in Nigeria, Mr Eazi.

The song was titled "Dance for Me". The lyrics of the track, "Dance for Me" features lines where guys talk about the contemporary styles of popular dances in Africa including Shoki, Dab and Alkayida. The music video received over 1 million views after a few months it went online on YouTube, and it got aired on several mixtapes.

The trio also went ahead to drop another single titled "High Love". Eugy's talent aren't so mush buried underground after all as he's getting attention and soon enough, he'll become fully recognized and his talent also will take him places.

Eugy has worked and recently produced a track with one Ghana's biggest artiste and fastest baddest rapper; Sarkodie. Eugy is highly gifted and more of him and from him is what the music lovers of Ghana and Africa in entirety are waiting for.

He has been around for quite some time now and is here to stay. In future, we know for sure Eugy is going to glow and shine as a big time artiste in the whole of Africa. Eugy and Mr Eazi especially have musical understanding, and when they perform together it becomes time-blowing.

They should've been brothers. Back in time in 2016, they produced a hit single titled "Body". The song became an instant success which was aired both in the United Kingdom and across the world. They've settled for a balance between Afro pop and R&B/Rap.
