Nkem Owoh (known popularly as Osuofia) is a Nigerian actor with an estimated net worth of $4 million dollars. He started out with movie acting in the 1980s and has since starred in over 50 Nollywood movies.

He has appeared in hit movies like Ukwa, Taboo, Osuofia in London (London in 2003), A Fool at 40, Things Fall Apart, and was starred in the famous sitcom in the 1980s, New Masquerade.

Nkem Owoh is famed for the song he performed titled "I Go Chop Your Dollar". The song was mainly about advance fee fraud and was played in a film where Nkem Owoh starred as a fraudster, The Master.

The song was eventually criticized and condemned by the EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission). After an investigation which was on for seven months and was undertaken by the Dutch police, Nkem Owoh was arrested.

The arrest took place in Netherlands (while Nkem Owoh was performing a music show) after the investigation which was tagged " Operation Apollo" came to halt. The actor has been through a lot in his career, making him one of the most exposed Nigerian actors.

He has also been kidnapped in the eastern region of Nigeria, but was released after N1.4 million naira was transferred to the kidnappers.

They previously said they would release him for a fee of N15 million naira, but they did after they got N1.4 million naira.
