She has been featured in lots of hit songs by superstars like P-Square. She has also been featured in Zain and MTV Base South Africa reality shows.

Waje remained in limelight after coming out in second position at the reality shows organized by MTV Base and Zain. Later on, Waje struck an endorsement deal with GLO.

Waje was born as Aituaje Iruobe on the 1st of December in Akure, in the State of Ondo, Nigeria. She was raised by her parents in Benin City, Edo State. Her parents seperated while Waje was still very tender.

At a time, she sang gospel songs for late Archbishop Benson Idahosa. The late Archbishop of Church of God Mission International was quite amazed by her singing and vouched to pay her fees and additional expenses throughout the days of her secondary schooling.

Waje happened to be the first daughter and child in the family. When she rounded off secondary school, she went to further to study Social Work and get a degree in the course of study at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Waje Worked on herself during her school days by listening to songs by Whitney Houston, attending school music concerts and fellowships. Her stage name, Waje, is a short for "Words Aren't Just Enough".
