Nikki Laoye is one of Nigeria's finest female gospel minister with an estimated net worth of $700,000 dollars. She has been interviewed and recognized in 2009 on American entertainment channel, BET.

She had shared same stage with big time gospel artistes like Kirk Franklin and nominated for lots of awards and won many awards too. Nikki Laoye was born on December 19, 1980 in the City of Lagos, Nigeria.

She happens to be the only daughter of Prince Olushola Isaac Laoye & Olori Christiana Yetunde Laoye.

Nikki has three brothers; Femi, Bola and Ade (who is also known as Xblaze, a music producer and Hip-Hop Artist in Lagos).

She bears traces of mixed origin as her father, Olushola is of European (Dutch), Ghanaian and Nigerian ancestry. She's a native of Osun State, Nigeria

She started her education at Grace Children School, Gbagada, Lagos. She was remarkably singled out by her music teacher who saw evidently her music abilities at a very tender age.

Her teacher contributed to the improvement of her music abilities, offering her free piano lessons at the end of each school day.

Her music abilities further improved during her high school years at Federal Government Girl's College, Sagamu (where she graduated in 1998).

At the University of Ibadan (where she schooled), she performed with the school choirs, joined dance and music groups like Exousia, Soul Alliance and the girl group - Soul Sistas.

In 1998, Nikki Laoye followed the youth band of Ikoyi Baptist Church, she was introduced to contemporary gospel by Reginald Bassey - a friend and music director. She served as soloist & lead vocalist for some years.

Interestingly, Laoye was the lead vocalist for The House On The Rock Church choirs in Ibadan and Lagos for over 10 years.

The creation of a female gril group was brought about by a chance meeting along the Hallways of St. Anne's Hall (a private female hostel).

The name of the female girl group was " Soul Sistas" and it was composed of Nikki Laoye, Debola Kester and Aboyowa Tene.

The girls started performing together for the fun and named the team "Soul Sistas" after performing at a campus fellowship.

The Pastor there at the fellowship, Dele Osunmakinde made a remark. In his words, "these ladies sing to your soul". Pastor Dele Osunmakinde is now Pastor of Baptizing Church, Lagos.

The girls witnessed the membership of a new female singer, Funmi Ojo, but witnessed her withdrawal and became a trio in the same year.

For five years, Soul Sistas were solely the A Capella group the University had and were known for their powerful voices.

Their rendition of the classic A Capella song titled "Your Love is Better than Life". In 2005, the crew split after graduation.

Nikki pursued her career as a soloist after the split, Debola and Aboyowa began working as regular employees.

In 2007, Nikki, Debola and Aboyowa returned to record a remix for their hit titled " Baba L'oke" for Nikki Laoye's debut music album dubbed "Angel of Life".

Debola in 2010 contested in the Nigerian music reality show, dubbed "Project Fame Season 3". She was one of the last 10 contestants alongside Yetunde, Ochuko and Omo'badan.
